Were seeking an experienced and proactive Leading Hand Cleaner to join our ESS (Defence Offshore & Remote) this hands-on leadership role youll support the daily cleaning operations while guiding a small team to maintain high standards of cleanliness safety and service across the base.

As part of the Compass Group youll work within a professional supportive team that values safety respect and excellence in everything we do.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating day-to-day cleaning activities across accommodation offices and common areas

• Providing hands-on cleaning support while monitoring quality safety and service standards

• Ensuring equipment chemicals and storage areas are maintained and compliant

• Coaching and supporting team members to meet daily schedules and site expectations

• Liaising with supervisors contractors and Defence stakeholders when required

• Upholding site-specific hygiene security and safety procedures

What were looking for:

• Previous experience in cleaning housekeeping or facilities services (leadership experience highly regarded)

• Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team

• A commitment to safety compliance and delivering high service standards

• Reliability attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required

• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this role
