About the role
We are looking for a Finance Representative (Modern ERP Program) to join our Commercial Finance team here in Rio Tintos Commercial Hub in Singapore.
The experienced and motivated Finance Representative will join the Modern ERP program team supporting Rio Tintos migration from the current SAP platform to S/4HANA. This role will act as the lead Commercial Finance representative ensuring that all finance processes controls and system requirements for Commercial are correctly designed validated and integrated into the future ERP landscape.
You will be responsible for defining the future-state design embedding critical financial and operational controls and ensuring successful end-to-end testing and deployment. This is a pivotal role that shapes the future of Commercial Finances operating and control environment under S/4 HANA.

Reporting to the SOX Assurance Manager you will be responsible for the following:
ERP Design & Process Integration
Represent Commercial Finance as part of the Community of Practice (CoP) for processes and data within the MERP program.
Define the future to-be state (particularly across Contract-to-Cash Reporting and planning process) to be aligned with business objectives.
Identify process gaps and controls to be implemented in the future system.
Contribute to Key Design Decisions impact assessments RAID items and project documentation.
Provide sign-off on process designs and ensure Commercial Finance requirements are integrated into S/4HANA.
Change Management & Stakeholder Support
Highlight change impacts on Commercial Finance processes.
Work closely with senior PG/Function leaders GPO teams and data leads to ensure alignment.
Controls Governance & Compliance
Identify and resolve process and data gaps (pricing orders contracts revenue flows controls).
Ensure key financial controls within Contract-to-Cash invoicing revenue recognition price governance and credit are embedded in the S/4 design.
Enable process standardisation improvement and automation.
Lead SOX readiness assessments for new system implementations and evaluate potential impact to the SOX program due to proposed systems and/or process changes.
Update documentation including risk and controls matrices and risk assessments.
Champion process simplification and automation opportunities under the Modern ERP transformation agenda.
Testing Validation & Readiness
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Commercial Finance processes - including scenario development execution and issue resolution.
Support the finance data migration configuration and validation process ensuring integrity accuracy and compliance of migrated financial data.
Optimise Finance Business Partner processes and practices
Work with Group through the delivery of the modern ERP to ensure fit for purpose systems processes and reporting.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role you will have:
Bachelor and/or professional qualification e.g. MBA ACA CPA.
Recent 5 to 7 years audit experience.
Strong understanding of end-to-end Contract-to-Cash (C2C) processes financial reporting processes and key finance controls.
Working knowledge of management and statutory reporting processes including data flows from transaction systems to consolidation tools.
Ability to translate business processes into system requirements and challenge design assumptions where needed.
Prior experience with SAP ECC S/4HANA or major ERP implementation highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills process-thinking and attention to detail.
High capability in working across diverse cross-functional teams.
Strong capability to effectively prioritise and possess excellent organisational skills.
