Certified Nursing Assistant Field

Hospice of Marion County a part of Empath Health is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to provide personal care and tasks related to the activities of daily living for patients in their homes in West Marion County.

What youll Do

• The provision of hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assisting patient with taking medications that are ordinarily self-administered and have been pre-poured as designated in the Plan of Care.
• Hospice Aides must report changes in the patients medical nursing rehabilitative and social needs to a registered nurse as the changes relate to the plan of care. Hospice Aide must document the changes and to whom they were reported to.
• Following a patients death collaborates with primary RN/Counselor and participates as needed in closure contact with family/caregivers.

What Youll Need

• Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Licensure:
  • Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
  • Valid Florida State Drivers License
• For field-based positions employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance a copy of which will be placed in the employees HR file.
