Job Summary:
TheLifeLinkAccountsCoordinator handles billing and follow-up of allLifeLinkclaims involving insurance agencies as well as patient responsibility. This positionis responsible forproblem solving and finding resolutions which enable claims to get paidtimelyand accurately.The coordinator will provide excellent customer service and support in receivingresearchingand resolving all inquiries related toLifeLinkaccounts and will handle large volumes of correspondence from all payors and accurately resolve issues with minor supervision.This position will work closely with allpayorstoresolve appeals and find speedyresolutionto denials.TheAccountsCoordinatoris responsible formanaging UKGscheduling and timeand attendance daily and ensuring timecards are complete for payroll.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: HighSchool Diploma or GED.EMT or EMT-P Certification preferred.
Experience: At least3yearsin a healthcare related claims or billing position.Experience withambulance transport billing rulestransport designations and medical necessity for ambulance transport.Work experience involving CPT coding and ICD-10 coding is highly preferred.
Licensure/Certification: EMT or EMT-P preferred

Knowledge/Skills: Abilityto speak clearly and concisely.Ability to readunderstandand follow oral and written instruction.Ability to key data into medical computersystemaccurately.Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with patientsemployeesand the public.Must be able to balance charges and payments to end of day reports.Must have a thorough anddemonstratedknowledge of all tasks related to pre-access and post-service accountresolutionand customer service.Understanding ofCallCenterprocesses is preferred.Requires basic computer skills and Windows experience. General use of office equipment included but not limitedto: keyboarding telephone calculator fax machine printer and copier. Requires working knowledge of ICD-10-CM CPT 4 codingguidelinesand medical knowledge. Knowledge of anatomy and physiologyhelpful. Requires the ability to work independently and asteammember. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with medical staff insurance carrierspatientas well as billing and coding staff.
