Job Summary

InfraHire is looking for a Welding Supervisor in Bluffton IN.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with proven leadership abilities who can guide welders maintain production efficiency and ensure high-quality workmanship across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily welding and fabrication activities ensuring all work meets company safety policies quality expectations and project deadlines.
Oversee welding processes including MIG TIG FCAW and other required methods ensuring proper procedure use for each job.
Interpret and apply information from blueprints fabrication drawings and technical schematics to support accurate production.
Monitor the proper and safe use of hand tools power tools welding equipment and fabrication machinery.
Ensure all welding and fabrication work complies with ASME codes AWS standards and internal quality requirements.
Perform quality checks using calipers micrometers and precision measuring instruments to verify specifications and tolerances.
Train mentor and support welders and fabricators helping them strengthen technical skills safety awareness and blueprint-reading abilities.
Maintain accurate documentation including project progress updates inspection reports and safety records.
Work closely with production management to schedule workloads allocate resources and ensure efficient workflow across multiple projects.
Benefit from a Monday Thursday 4-day / 10-hour shift with overtime available on Fridays when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on structural welding experience; at least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a welding or fabrication shop preferred.
Strong background in production welding environments and team leadership.
Expert proficiency in MIG and TIG welding; AWS D1.1 certification strongly preferred.
Ability to accurately read and interpret advanced blueprints schematics and fabrication drawings.
Skilled with fabrication tools and equipment including power tools hand tools plasma cutters press brakes and related machinery.
Experience operating forklifts overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
Strong math skills to perform measurements conversions and calculations used in fabrication work.
Excellent leadership communication and troubleshooting abilities with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
