For linen services attending to breakdowns and doing preventative maintenance etc ensuring business continues as usual as the requirement never stops.

Hours of work 9am to 6pm ASAP start working right through Christmas ongoing temp to perm.

Location: Maintenance Fitter - The Prince Charles Hospital Campus Building 18 627 Rode Rd Chermside QLD 4032;

Hours: 9am to 6pm

Schedule: 9 day fortnight

Mandatory qualifications/ endorsements:

Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting and Turning or Mechanical Fitter)

Valid Working at Heights competency (within 2 years)
Valid Confined Space Entry competency (within 2 years)
Valid RIIHAN301E to Operate elevating work platform with Scissor Lift (SL) and Boom Lift (BL) endorsements (within 5 years)
Valid LVR/CPR (within 1 year) mandatory for Maintenance Electrician
Valid C Class Drivers Licence
Condition of employment for this role for the employee to be and remain vaccinated against hepatitis B
Police Check

Advantageous:

Previous experience in a production/ laundry facility
Ancillary competencies and supporting tickets

Purpose of the role: Maintenance Fitter and Maintenance Electrician Linen Services (LS) in the Supply Chain Surety Branch (SCB) reports to the Manager Asset & Maintenance Services LS. Its primary function is to provide efficient and effective maintenance service duties including but not limited to corrective preventative capital emergency and minor new works for LS.

Background on LS: Linen Services (LS) provides a linen hire service to seven Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) across Queensland including Gold Coast West Moreton Metro South Metro North Sunshine Coast and the Hinterland Wide Bay and Childrens Health. Three production facilities based at Maryborough (WB) The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PA) Woolloongabba and The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) Chermside produce over 380 tonnes of clean linen each week using specialised laundry equipment.
