Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to lead initiatives that acknowledge and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories culture and connections to water. As Team Lead Policy and Truth Telling youll play a pivotal role in delivering projects that embed truth-telling and cultural intelligence across our organisation ensuring our work respects Country deepens employees and wider community knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and supports Water Corporations truth telling and reconciliation journey.

A snapshot of what youll do

  • Lead projects from design through to delivery of truth-telling initiatives that recognise the impact of Water Corporations assets on Aboriginal people and culture.
  • Lead the development and integration of our Aboriginal Cultural Intelligence Framework and Aboriginal Impact Policy Review process.
  • Engage with senior leaders Executive and Traditional Owner groups to gain input support and engagement for projects strategies and frameworks.
  • Oversee research and analysis to support strategic policy development.
  • Provide strategic advice and champion initiatives aligned with our Yesterday Today and Tomorrow strategy and Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.

About you

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone experienced in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture histories and impacts of past and present policies. You need to be able to demonstrate your skills in engaging with a range of stakeholders and guiding them through change this includes demonstratable influencing and negotiation skills. Youll bring solid end-to-end project management experience in large complex organisations and have the passion and drive to champion Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander advancement.
