Job Summary and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of Facilities Supervisor assists in general maintenance and installation and repairs to expansion units chilled water fan cool units refrigeration equipment pneumatic and electronic control system routine and emergency.
As an HVAC Maintenance Mechanic under the direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor you will maintain our facilitys environmental systems.
Daily you will assist with general maintenance installation and repairs of expansion units chilled water fan cool units refrigeration equipment and pneumatic/electronic control systems. Youll handle both routine and emergency tasks ensuring a comfortable safe and functional environment.
Success in this role requires strong HVAC knowledge practical repair experience proactive problem-solving and a commitment to uninterrupted system performance.
- Completes assigned work orders and/or PMs in a timely manner or informs supervisor of any problems accomplishing a task.
- Immediately identifies and informs supervisor of any malfunctioning equipment.
- Achieves to reduce maintenance and utility costs through improved operational procedures.
- Helps to maintain a clean safe and organized work area.
- Maintains a professional attitude toward patients visitors and staff at all times.
- Varies work schedule or shift to meet the department staffing needs.
- Works overtime only with approval or when requested by Supervisor.
- Schedules all vacation and personal holidays with prior supervisory approval.

Job Requirements
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Certificate of HVACR technical education or Equivalent years of experience in the field
- HVAC Universal Technician (HVAC-CERT)
Preferred Education & Experience;
- Vocational School Grad
- At least 3 years commercial or industrial HVACR experience
- At least 1 year of practical experience in an accredited hospital facilities department
