- Supervise and perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems equipment and control panels.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in motors drives PLCs and automated systems to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain and update electrical documentation such as schematics load schedules and equipment logs.
- Ensure reliable operation of power systems including transformers generators MCC panels and distribution networks.
- Plan and oversee electrical works related to new installations equipment upgrades or factory expansions.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors contractors and equipment suppliers for installation testing and commissioning.
- Enforce adherence to electrical safety regulations and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company HSE standards and statutory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor factory energy usage and implement strategies to reduce energy costs and wastage.
- Recommend improvements in power management and energy conservation practices.
- Lead supervise and train the electrical maintenance team to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.
- Assign tasks monitor performance and provide technical direction to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Collaborate closely with production mechanical and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
Requirements
Education
Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering Electronics and Instrumentation
Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (preferably cocoa FMCG or agro-processing).
Experience in Industrial Automation PLC Programming or Instrumentation is an added advantage.
Certifications (Preferred)
Membership or certification with a recognized professional body (e.g. COREN NSE) is an advantage with knowledge of PLC (Siemen & ABB).
