Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Oil & Gas

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team specializing in refinery and offshore projects in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and implementing electrical systems ensuring safety efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop electrical systems for refinery and offshore projects including power distribution control systems and lighting
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical civil and instrumentation engineers
- Develop and review electrical engineering designs specifications and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes standards and regulations (e.g. API IEEE NEC)
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues providing technical support to operations teams
- Develop and implement electrical maintenance and testing procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging technologies

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on oil and gas refinery and offshore projects
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g. ETAP SKM AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional engineering license (PE)
- Experience with control systems instrumentation and automation
- Familiarity with offshore platform and refinery operations
