Job Summary

Bradley David Associates is looking for an Import Manager Schaumburg IL on behalf of a reputable shipping company. You will play a crucial role in overseeing daily customs brokerage operations ensuring compliance and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily customs brokerage activities ensuring timely and compliant entry processing.
Provide expert guidance on U.S. Customs regulations documentation and procedural requirements.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for import operations.
Review entry documentation for accuracy and compliance before submission.
Monitor and resolve U.S. Customs rejections RFIs and compliance matters.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in customs brokerage operations.
Must have an active U.S Customs Brokerage Licence
Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations import processes and trade compliance.
Previous experience supervising or mentoring entry writers are highly preferred.
Active U.S. Customs Broker License strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree preferred but not required.

Required Skills:

Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within the logistics or oil & gas industry. Solid understanding of project logistics freight forwarding and supply chain operations particularly in energy or industrial sectors. Strong experience in client engagement contract negotiation and solution selling. Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Logistics Engineering or a related field.
