NPPA Critical Care Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph & Niles, MI

Corewell Health South is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner to join our expanding Critical Care team in Southwest Michigan. Desire candidates who are patient-centered and team-oriented. Experienced practitioners with ICU or emergency medicine backgrounds preferred.

The Critical Care Team provides 24/7 inpatient coverage at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph and Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital Niles. Facilities includes a state-of-the-art 18-bed Critical Care Unit (St. Joseph) and 8-Bed Critical Care Unit (Niles).Block-style schedule with providers rotating seven (7) consecutive days on followed by seven (7) days off. Shifts are from 7:00am to 7:00pm and 8:00pm 8:00am. Epic electronic health record is used for documentation.

Opportunity to rotate between shifts and sites. Practitioners will function autonomously and independent with on-site support provided during daily rounds with an intensivist physician. Back up provided via phone or telemedicine.

Team includes 10 physicians and anticipated 4 advanced practitioners.

Procedures include performing central line arterial line thoracentesis paracentesis and intubation. A variety of sub-specialists available for referrals and collaboration opportunities on patient care.

We also host 3rd and 4th year medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine.
