This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Reginas Place Youth Services.
How You Will Make an Impact
In this role you will work to make a difference in the lives of young mothers and their children living at Reginas Place - Youth Services. Services to clients include assessment crisis prevention and intervention supportive counseling education advocacy social/recreational programming life skills teaching i.e. cooking and linkages with other community services.
Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations
What Youll Bring to Our Team
- Primary case management and community development skills acquired through a post-secondary education in social services such as Child and Youth Worker or Social Service Worker
- Experience working with Young Parents and their children knowledge of the Child and Family Service Act Proficiency
- The ability to complete housekeeping/cleaning duties in a residential setting is required
- A valid drivers license is required
- Have knowledgeable of and experience working with transitional age street-involved and homeless youth
- A proven ability to work independently taking initiative and thinking creatively are required
- Fluency in French and/or another language(s) is also an asset
- CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
- Good judgement problem-solving and assessment skills
