Job Summary
Leadership
Giving directions to the security personnel of SSP to focus on the security conducting risk assessments when carrying out the business while ensuring the implementation of proper measures to avoid unauthorized access to certain restricted areas of the premises by staff and 3rd parties (including clients) through having proper signage and the presence of security personnel order to avoid possible breaches of security and safety standards.
Strategic Planning
Implement appropriate developed strategies and plans for the long-term business sustainability and growth by monitoringthe security and safety systemsrecommending improvements to them through testing their effectiveness as well as company infrastructure to support the security measures taken with the objective of avoiding possible breaches in security with the movement of people and cargo within the entire organization.
Customer/ Supplier Focus
Provide feedback during proposalstages to ensure that Logiwiz (3PL) security and safety processes are safeguarded while paying attention to customer perspective
Regularly interact with the relavant levels within the client organisation in order to understand and be aligned to the client perspective on security and safety matters
Develop suppliers of the security and safety functions to meet the technical quality health & safety standards of the organisation.
Work Force Focus
To promote quality security and safety practices regularly through conducting proper training sessions covering areas such as responding to threats in the workplace such as fire dealing with workplace violence handling suspicious packages and responding to criminal activity involving respective staff and other possible security breaches etc to ensure that all the staff and the security company are aware of possible threats and are also equipped to handle such situations.
Process Management
To ensure that all local laws as well as applicable international laws are complied with by implementing proper procedures as well as maintaining a close liaison with all government authorities in order to ensure all legal requirements are met at all times whilst implementing and executing the agreed security measures for the organization.
Maintain outsourced security service contracts through proper filing arrangements and ensuring to address all matters at the time of renewals of these contracts and manage the activities of security staff deployed by the service provider by communicating the requirements of the company by way of standard operational procedures for regular instructions and by way of special instructions on a case by case basis in order to ensure that the deployed security company will adhere to these standards and meet the expected quality whilst executing the work.
Qualification
- An experienced person with security and safety knowledge preferably with National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) at NVQ-5 level Diploma.
- Having worked in a computer-based environment having excellent interpersonal skills and who also has good contacts with the local authorities.
