About the opportunity
The Tasmanian School of Medicine is looking for a Coordinator Student Support and Development to join their team based at the Launceston Clinical School.
As our new Coordinator Student Support and Development you will deliver student-centred case coordination for students experiencing academic and personal difficulty that continues throughout the students support journey from initial presentation through to resolution or transition.
You will work with the Lead Coordinator to implement and evaluate policies and procedures relating to the support of students within the Medicine Program providing effective channels for student representation and expression of concern about aspects of their study.
You will work with academic staff Student Safety and Wellbeing Accessibility Services Professional Experience Placement (PEP) Accommodation and external providers like Headspace and Drs4Drs to ensure wraparound care.
Our ideal candidate will be a compassionate and strategic professional with a strong foundation in student wellbeing mental health or medical education. They will have postgraduate qualifications (e.g. counselling psychology education or a health discipline) and a demonstrated commitment to supporting students in high-pressure environments such as Medicine.
They will also be academically engaged and able to contribute to teaching in the Ethics Professionalism and Leadership Domain and ideally bring a research profile in student wellbeing or medical education.

Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155885 (pro rata) comprising base salary within the range of $114766 to $133235 plus 17% superannuation.
