Location: The intern candidate must be able to commute into the San Mateo CA or San Ramon CA office each week.

Start Date: All interns must start in office and in person on June 8 2026.
Anticipated End Date: August 14 2026 All interns must be in office and in person on their last day to return equipment.



The ETF Capital Markets team is responsible for leading ETF product strategy and development efforts at Franklin Templeton. As our team grows at an accelerated pace given our differentiated platform strong investment capabilities and client partnership we are seeking an intern to join us this summer. This intern will gain insight into one of the fastest growing areas of asset management within a firm well positioned to build on its continued success.

We are a highly collaborative and fast-paced team within Franklin Templeton. We interact and collaborate with many other groups at FT including Sales Portfolio Management Trading Marketing Product and Legal.


An ETF Capital Markets Intern at Franklin Templeton can expect to gain:

  • Deep understanding of the ETF ecosystem.

  • ETF liquidity in the primary market (create / redeem) and the secondary market (trading or exchange).

  • How to educate and support clients when trading Franklin Templeton ETFs


Key responsibilities may include:

  • Helping to manage the relationships with all liquidity providers including Authorized Participants (APs) market makers and broker dealers for both primary and secondary market ETF activities.

  • Working directly with both internal sales and clients to answer any of their ETF-related questions.

  • Strong interpersonal and partnering skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and communicate ETF knowledge.

  • Highly motivated proactive self-starter and team player.

This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 37.5 hours (dependent on state/location) per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $37 - $47 (dependent on location function and year in school) USD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location job-related knowledge skills and experience.
