Enviu is a non-profit venture-building studio on a mission to create a better world. Since 2004 weve been pioneering innovative circular solutions that address global environmental and social challenges at their root. Today we have a portfolio of over 20 ventures that show a better way of doing things is possible.

In India Enviu tackles textile challenges by building ventures that cut textile waste turning waste into worth and empower textile workers with sustainable solutions that make the textile value chain more inclusive and circular.

Role purpose
The Marketing Officer is responsible for shaping and executing marketing strategies of Enviu India while closely collaborating with Enviu Global. The role is both strategic and operational: on one hand sparring with fundraisers venture builders and program managers on positioning go-to-market strategies and stakeholder engagement; on the other hand delivering concrete outputs such as campaigns media relations and content creation.

We are looking for someone who thrives in versatile highly dynamic environments. This is not a role where you wait for instructionsyou are a proactive go-getter who identifies opportunities takes initiative and drives projects forward. You combine strategic insight with hands-on execution and can switch quickly between big-picture thinking and detail-oriented delivery. You bring broad marketing knowledge (brand content digital PR campaigns) with specific depth in one or two areas enabling you to connect expertise to the varied challenges our textiles program and ventures face.

You will report to Regional Program Manager in India and Marketing Manager in The Netherlands and will be embedded in a supportive and collaborative global marketing team in The Netherlands Indonesia and Kenya.

Key responsibilities

1. Narrative building through strategic marketing and communications

• Ideate and develop comprehensive communication and marketing strategies for Enviu India aligned with Enviu Globals overall marketing strategy positioning Enviu as a thought leader in systems change textiles and as a venture studio in India.

• Identify and design engagement with key mediums events forums channels for Enviu.

• Monitor market and ecosystem trends to stay abreast of the evolutions and capture insights and learnings for the team and incorporate them into overall strategy.

1. Fractional Chief Marketing Officer for impact startups

• Support Enviu ventures as a Chief Marketing Officer with branding and positioning driving marketing strategy into visibility for the ventures.

• Identifying marketing channels and mediums for the ventures to enter their specific market segments and onboard relevant stakeholders.

• Highlight venture solutions innovations and best practices that translate business ideas and goals into development outcomes.

1. Content creation and execution

• Create engaging and on-brand content for social media newsletters blogs press releases case studies and reports while managing Enviu India digital channels.

• Strategically capture and communicate impact stories from ventures beneficiaries and partners to inspire audiences and attract new collaborations and funders.

• Monitor analytics evaluate KPIs and iterate based on insights.

1. Managing resources and networks

• Bring your own experiences playbooks and best practices for inbound and outbound marketing strategies.

• Build and maintain a network of consultants designers and agencies that can help execute various marketing and communications work.

• Build and maintain relationships with partners journalists sector media and influencers.

• Pitch stories coordinate interviews and prepare spokespeople for media opportunities.

1. Global Team Collaboration

• Contribute to Envius global marketing and PR efforts by sharing best practices content and regional insights.

• Collaborate closely with global team to produce high-quality and visually engaging campaigns across channels.

About you

• Masters degree in Marketing Communications Business or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications preferably in venture building startups or agency settings.

• Experience working on sustainable brands and storytelling

• Comfortable working in fast-paced ever-changing environments with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex systems and new ventures into clear compelling narratives for partnerships.

• Hands-on execution skills: strategic content writing campaign management social media and stakeholder engagement.

• Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple ventures deadlines and stakeholders.

• Creative and proactive with a strong eye for storytelling and design (Canva and/or Affinity experience is a pre).

• Knowledge of the Indian textiles sector startup ecosystem and sustainability communications is a strong plus.

• Fluency in English required.
