Job Summary

The Assistant IT Manager supports the hotels daily Information Technology operations by assisting in the monitoring maintenance and troubleshooting of all computer systems networks servers and software applications. This role provides timely technical support to employees and guests coordinates with the IT Manager to implement technology initiatives and helps manage data security user access and compliance with IT policies and industry standards. The Assistant IT Manager also maintains accurate IT documentation and contributes to ensuring a reliable and efficient IT infrastructure that supports hotel operations and enhances the overall guest experience.


Qualifications :

  1. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

  2. IT Experience: Proven experience in IT operations support or management preferably in a hospitality or hotel environment.

  3. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of hardware software networks and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V or VMware); able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  4. Networking and Infrastructure: Experience in enterprise networking environments including Aruba Wi-Fi (H550 R550 R750 T340) Aruba and Cisco switching (Aruba 2500/2900/6200/6300; Cisco Catalyst 2900/9300 ISR routers) VLAN structures wireless optimization network segmentation and security practices.

  5. Hospitality Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera Cloud PMS Simphony Cloud POS call accounting solutions and cloud-hosted back-office applications (e.g. SUN System Accounting).

  6. Team Leadership and Management: Ability to supervise team delegate tasks provide guidance and foster collaboration supporting the development of IT talent.

  7. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and collaborate across departments.

  8. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical ability to diagnose technical issues monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  9. Vendor and Project Management: Experience coordinating with vendors and service providers managing service levels and participating in IT projects including infrastructure or cloud migrations.

  10. Adaptability and Professionalism: Calm consistent and structured approach; proactive in continuous learning responsive during operational needs and committed to completing tasks reliably.
