Job Summary
Description
Westford Veterinary Emergency Referral Centeris looking to add a skilled Emergency Veterinary Technicianto our ER team.
The wage range for this position is $27.00-$35.00/hour depending on experiencelicensureand availability and is eligible for up to a $1000 incentive bonus.
This busy 24-hour hospital has availability for our swing shifts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide compassionate care to patients and their families
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical records
- Conducts basic examinations to assess stability.
- Perform advanced nursing skills including CPR Phlebotomy Cystocentesis lab tests and CRI calculation and administration
- Administer andmonitorsedated patients for minor procedures as well as practicing advanced anesthetic skills
- Perform patient discharges
- Prepare treatment estimates and discuss financial commitments with clients
- Prepare andmaintainthe exam rooms and treatment areas

REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree or equivalent preferred
- Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician in Massachusetts or eligible for transfer highly preferred
- Prior experience with anesthesia
- Prior specialty and emergency experience
- Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people
