JOB SUMMARY

Implement and manage safety programs and procedures that will reduce injuries and their associated costs as well as meet all applicable local state and federal regulations.

*3rd Shift is 8:30pm to 5:30am (SundayThursday) - Training will be on 1st Shift (6am-4:00pm M-F)

YOUR IMPACT

  • Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions behaviors and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections
  • Investigate and facilitate the completion of injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken
  • Maintain all required documentation for Oshkosh Corporations DOT program
  • Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action if required
  • Oversee safety-related training that is required to remain in compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Update management on the status of Oshkoshs safety program through monthly and quarterly reports
  • Support and strengthen the Companys ergonomics program
  • Organize plan and steer the plant Safety Committee to ensure that Oshkosh employees are provided with a safe workplace
  • Work closely with our Health & Wellness Lead on workers compensation concerns
  • Coordinate with manufacturing engineering etc. on the design and construction of new equipment facilities and processes to ensure safe design
  • Develop and recommend general accident prevention programs to include specific protective procedures and devices
  • Complete and verify hot work permits within the facility
  • Review and address open continuous improvement suggestions from the team
  • Conduct safety specific training such as lockout tagout CPR BBP etc
  • Update Job Hazard Analysis

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Safety or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Internship experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with various teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work experience in industry
  • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must possess computer skills
  • OSHA 30 training a plus
  • Certifications in first aid and CPR a plus

Pay Range:

$50400.00 - $77200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
