This role will be reporting to the Accounting Director and work closely with the CAO. The Manager Corporate Accounting is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of a companys accounting practices including researching complex accounting issues interpreting new accounting standards ensuring compliance with GAAP developing and maintaining accounting policies advising cross-functional teams on accounting matters and communicating technical accounting conclusions to senior management and external auditors; essentially acting as the expert on intricate accounting matters within the organization.
Key responsibilities include Accounting Standard Research and assessing their impact on the companys financial reporting; Policy Development and Maintenance; Complex Transaction analysis including any M&A stock based comp and lease accounting and technical accounting memos being an external audit liaison for this department Internal Controls and ensuring compliance with SOX regulations; Cross Functional collaboration with other departments and managing training and mentorship of the team of about 3 to 5 professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- CPA Certification
- Public Accounting experience a plus
- Knowledge of Technical Accounting GAAP and SOX
- Management / Supervision experience of a team; Leadership and positive Culture focused
- Strong Excel required; SAP and Blackline a plus
