The Role

As a Domestic Sales Consultant at The Little Green Energy Company you will help homeowners make the switch to solar energy by guiding them through the sales processfrom site surveys and system design to closing deals and installation. Youll create tailored proposals manage relationships and provide ongoing customer support to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Your role will involve driving sales growth meeting targets and generating leads through referrals and word-of-mouth. By staying informed about industry trends and using CRM tools to track progress youll offer personalized cost-effective solar solutions to homeowners while helping them realize energy savings.

  • Sales & Customer Engagement: Identify new leads and engage with potential residential customers to promote solar energy solutions guiding them through the sales process from initial inquiry to final installation.

  • Site Surveys & System Design: Conduct home visits to perform site surveys assess the propertys energy needs and design customized solar PV and battery storage systems that maximize energy efficiency.

  • Tailored Proposals & Quotations: Create personalized detailed proposals and quotations based on customer requirements using solar design tools and financial modeling to demonstrate potential savings and ROI.

  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle including lead generation follow-ups negotiations and closing deals ensuring a smooth transition from sales to installation.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with residential clients providing exceptional customer service and after-sales support to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Education & Product Knowledge: Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy battery storage and energy efficiency solutions staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies.

  • Referrals & Word-of-Mouth Growth: Encourage customer referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.

  • Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets through effective prospecting lead management and relationship-building.

  • CRM & Pipeline Management: Utilise CRM systems to track leads opportunities and customer interactions ensuring all follow-ups and tasks are completed in a timely manner.

  • Local Market Research & Competitor Awareness: Stay informed about local market trends competitor pricing and new product offerings to effectively position solar solutions in the residential market.

What were looking for:

  • Sales & Customer Focus: Ability to engage with individual homeowners build rapport and guide them through the sales process from lead generation to installation.

  • Residential Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in residential sales ideally in solar home improvement or energy efficiency sectors. Comfortable with a more consultative personalised sales approach.

  • Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of residential solar PV and battery storage systems and how to design solutions based on a homes energy needs.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to explain the benefits of solar energy to homeowners and address their concerns including energy savings and system performance.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build long-term relationships with residential clients leveraging CRM systems to manage leads track progress and ensure follow-ups.

  • Target-Oriented & Self-Motivated: Highly motivated and driven to meet and exceed individual sales targets through consistent prospecting lead management and closing deals.

  • Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with local market trends customer needs and energy regulations to position solar solutions effectively for homeowners.

  • Skills-Based Interview: Engage in a detailed discussion about your past experiences with the Sales & Business Development Manager. (1 hr - Remote)

  • Final Stage: Spend time with Managing Director of The Little Green Energy Company to explore alignment and expectations. (1 hr - In person)
