The LSA will deliver targeted small-group work support pupils during whole-class teaching and contribute to inclusive practice across the Dagenham school. This LSA vacancy includes induction and handover prior to January 2026 with the LSA expected to be in post from January 2026 and delivering interventions throughout the spring term.
Role responsibilities
Deliver planned interventions focused on reading phonics and numeracy as an LSA.
Support access to the curriculum during lessons by scaffolding tasks and modelling strategies.
Work alongside teachers and teaching assistants to maintain consistent routines and expectations.
Keep clear records of pupil progress contribute to review meetings and support transition notes.
Build positive relationships with pupils families and external staff in Dagenham to ensure joined-up provision.
Person specification
Previous experience supporting pupils in a school environment as an LSA.
Practical knowledge of small-group teaching approaches and behaviour-support strategies.
Patient observant and able to adapt resources to meet individual needs in Dagenham.
Able to commence January 2026 attending induction and handover before January 2026.
