Work Arrangement: Onsite Toronto
Role Overview
The Applications Architect will support Justice Technology Services in designing assessing and delivering architecture for large-scale cloud-enabled applications. The role involves producing enterprise architecture documents developing solution designs supporting cloud security assessments and ensuring alignment with OPS architecture standards.
The architect will work across business technology and application domains to ensure solution quality compliance and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution & Technical Architecture
- Develop solution designs and detailed technical architecture for cloud-based and packaged applications.
- Produce enterprise architecture artifacts including:
- Business Architecture Document (BAD)
- Solution Architecture Document (SAD)
- Solution Requirements Document (SRD)
- Information Architecture Document (IAD)
- Create use-case diagrams process flows and ensure alignment with business and logical/physical architecture models.
Data Architecture & Integration
- Develop Logical & Physical Data Models Data Dictionaries and CRUD matrices.
- Document interfaces and communication protocols for external partners.
- Assist in UI and data model design modifications.
Cloud Security & Compliance
- Lead cloud security assessments identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Review privacy/security assessments and ensure alignment with OPS standards and traceability.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to ministry architecture processes data standards and OPS guidelines.
Project Support & Testing
- Review test scenarios to ensure full requirement coverage.
- Support system testing and UAT including creation of metadata/test data.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and knowledge transfer.
Enterprise Architecture Governance
- Participate in architecture review boards (ARB) and project gating.
- Support the business with architecture-related decision-making and design reviews.
