Overview

Banks Decision Engine Team is looking for an independent highly technical Data Engineer to support real-time personalized customer engagement initiatives. This new role is critical for building and maintaining the data foundation behind automated marketing and customer messaging systems. You will work with multiple teams to gather transform and deliver high-quality data to the decision engine while supporting system performance and future enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain scalable efficient data pipelines for real-time decisioning and marketing workflows.
Partner with marketing analytics modeling and IT teams to deploy and optimize customer messaging across channels.
Ensure data quality through testing validation and ongoing monitoring.
Support integration and performance of decision platforms such as IBM Unica Interact Adobe Campaign Salesforce.
Automate workflows using SQL Python AWS Glue and related cloud tools.
Assist with upgrades new capabilities and troubleshooting production data issues.
Contribute to data governance cataloging and documentation for enterprise-wide data assets.

Basic Qualifications

Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Statistics Economics or related field.
3 years of experience in data engineering data integration data quality or machine learning driven data workflows.
Experience with scalable pipelines scripting languages and cloud or big-data tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python R or SAS.
Experience with AWS data tools (Glue Athena Lambda) and BI tools (Tableau Excel).
Hands-on experience with data testing and data quality frameworks.
Background in Agile DevOps Git/GitHub/GitLab and automated build/release processes.
Experience designing pipelines for large complex datasets and strong data mining/DB skills (MySQL).
Familiarity with campaign/decision platforms (IBM Unica Adobe Campaign Pega Salesforce).
Experience in financial services or consumer-focused industries.
Strong communication skills analytical thinking and the ability to work independently.
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
