Job Summary

AWS Database Administrator

Exp:5Yrs

Location: Bengalore

Strong hands-on experience in AWS Database Services Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and RDS

Python scripting (mandatory) automation for database operations backups monitoring etc.

Database administration skills: backup restore replication and disaster recovery

Performance tuning query optimization and troubleshooting complex DB issues

Strong understanding of AWS security IAM CloudWatch and other AWS tools

Good to have:

Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure GCP etc.)

Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins Terraform Ansible Git)

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or automation frameworks

Understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for database deployments

Basic knowledge of ETL / Data Engineering concepts

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services Python scripting and Aurora database management. The role involves managing AWS-based database environments ensuring optimal performance and implementing automation for database operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain AWS-based database environments including Aurora and RDS.
Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate database operations and monitoring.
Perform backup restore and disaster recovery (DR) operations.
Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues.
Collaborate closely with onshore/global teams for updates and issue resolution.
Ensure database security scalability and compliance with enterprise standards.

Required Skills

Strong experience with AWS database services (Aurora RDS Redshift).
Hands-on Python scripting for automation (mandatory).
Expertise in query tuning database replication and optimization.
Strong knowledge of CloudWatch IAM and AWS monitoring tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Good to Have

Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD or multi-cloud setups.
Experience with Terraform Jenkins or CloudFormation.

Exposure to Docker / Kubernetes environments
