POSITION: IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
LOCATION: Tampa FL onsite 3 days a week (Tue-Thurs)
DURATION: 6 Month C2H
INTERVIEW TYPE: Video
Responsibilities
- Install configure and maintain operating systems and application software.
- Maintain and optimize network infrastructure server hardware virtualization environments and storage systems.
- Assist and support the planning and execution of upgrades migrations and new deployments across on prem and cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high levels of uptime and reliability.
- Perform routine backup and recovery operations for critical data and systems.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises.
- Manage user accounts permissions and access rights across various platforms.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware software and network connectivity.
- Apply operating system and application patches updates and security fixes.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations and procedures.
- Provide user support and training for basic system functionality and best practices.
- Assist in capacity planning resource allocation and technology refresh efforts.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-level infrastructure system administration and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA CCNA CompTIA Security) are a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
