Job Summary
Job Title: Installation Engineer - Home Automation
Job Summary
Execute end-to-end installation configuration testing and handover of home automation systems (lighting sensors controllers networking). This is a and nbsp;100% on-site field role and nbsp;requiring strong wiring skills disciplined execution and clear communication. and nbsp;Fluent Hindi speaking is mandatory and nbsp;for daily client and contractor interaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation and amp; Wiring
Install controllers modules sensors switches smart locks and network devices.
Perform wiring termination crimping dressing labeling as per standards.
Integrate third-party devices (IR WiFi Zigbee Z-Wave KNX depending on project).
Follow electrical safety protocols and company installation SOPs.
2. Configuration and amp; Testing
Configure devices via mobile/desktop tools.
Pair modules assign loads set parameters verify network strength.
Conduct full system testing before handover.
Diagnose and fix wiring load or network issues quickly.
3. Site Coordination
Coordinate with electricians carpenters interior teams contractors.
Maintain daily task list and update project lead promptly.
Identify delays risks or material shortages and escalate early.
4. Client Interaction and amp; Training
Communicate with clients in and nbsp;Hindi and nbsp;clearly and confidently.
Demonstrate system operation after installation.
Capture feedback/issues and report to the technical team.
5. Documentation
Maintain checklists wiring photos serial numbers and installation reports.
Provide daily site updates through ERP/WhatsApp/CRM.
Required Skills and amp; Competencies
- Fluent Hindi speaker and nbsp;(mandatory).
- Strong electrical basics: wiring load understanding safety.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow layouts.
- Understanding of WiFi routers networks IP basics.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- Comfortable working on ladders false ceilings and active construction sites.
Preferred Experience
- 14 years in home automation ELV CCTV fiber/networking or electrical installation.
- Hands-on experience with CAT6 termination relay wiring sensor installation.
- Prior exposure to automation brands or protocols is a plus.
Eligibility
- ITI / Diploma / BE (Electrical Electronics or related).
- Must be comfortable with daily travel across city sites.
- Must be available for urgent/on-demand site visits when required.
