Job Summary

About Client

Leading pharma client having global presence in formulation API and Biologics.

Role Objective

To design develop and implement innovative compliant and cost-effective primary secondary and tertiary packaging solutions for a range of pharmaceutical products (e.g. tablets capsules liquids injectables) ensuring product integrity patient safety and adherence to all global regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging Design & Development: Lead the end-to-end development of packaging materials and systems for new product launches and life cycle management.
Material Selection & Testing: Select appropriate packaging materials (blister packs bottles cartons etc.) and conduct rigorous testing (e.g. container closure integrity transport validation stability studies) to ensure compatibility quality and performance.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all packaging designs and materials comply with global regulations and standards including US FDA EU MDR and other relevant guidelines. Prepare necessary documentation for regulatory submissions (e.g. specifications master packaging cards (MPC) Bills of Materials (BOM) technical reports).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D QA/QC Production Regulatory Affairs Supply Chain and Marketing teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment across functions.
Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with packaging material vendors suppliers and external labs ensuring high-quality material delivery and coordinating trials.
Cost & Efficiency Improvement: Identify and drive cost reduction material optimization and process efficiency projects without compromising quality or compliance.
Artwork Management: Provide technical input and coordinate the artwork development approval process and final printing shade card management.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of various packaging materials (polymers glass etc.) packaging technologies and design software (e.g. CAD Corel Draw SolidWorks).
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during production or design.
Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Communication: Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
