These solutions allow the delivery of transactional and marketing messages including push notifications emails SMS and more to millions of users. At the same time they also improve in-app communication experiences. We are made up of young and experienced skillful backend frontend and mobile developers. Get to Know the Role
We are looking for passionate developers with the required skills and then some to join our team. You will have opportunities to design backend components and services. Not only will you get to collaborate with the product business and program management teams to be on top of your deliverables but you will also serve as a mentor to your teammates to help meet the teams deliverables and goals. You will report to the Engineering Manager. You will be based in HCMC and you will work in the design and build scalable backend systems using microservices architecture.
- Scope technical requirements and identify suitable technology solutions for new initiatives.
- Integrate new systems with existing platforms and ensure interoperability across services.
- Serve as a technical leader providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers; set high bars for code/design quality and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with technical leads from other teams to ensure cohesive system integration across domains.
- Lead and influence hiring decisions and foster an inclusive team culture.
- Define the technical strategy and lead endtoend execution for backend services that enable oneway outbound communications across owned and external channels meeting reliability latency and scalability SLAs at Grab scale.
- Drive platform observability: instrument perchannel delivery open conversion latency and error metrics; build dashboards and clientvisible ROI views; enable proactive detection of issues and compliance.
- Lead governance for timesensitive notifications by implementing expiry grouping deduplication and policy adherence to improve user experience and reduce optouts.
- Improve messaging cost visibility and control (including vendor traffic allocation via datadriven experimentation) in collaboration with procurement and partner teams.
- Own service design architecture reviews API/interface contracts and nonfunctional requirements (reliability performance security operability); raise the bar on coding standards testing and release strategy.
- Increase platform productivity and reduce operational toil by improving release strategies oncall readiness and incident response practices.

What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Backend Software Architecture: 7 years designing and implementing scalable architectures using microservices.
- Bachelor degree in Software Engineering or relevant major
- Performance and Scalability: Advanced knowledge in building highperformance systems suitable for enterprise environments.
- Full System Design: Experience independently driving fullstack system design (requirements technical specs coding rollout).
- Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading technical teams and complex crossteam initiatives as PIC; strong mentorship track record.
- Cloud Services: Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS GCP Azure) and building cloudnative applications.
- International Collaboration: Experience working with distributed crossborder teams and leading collaborative projects.
- CI/CD: Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab) trunkbased workflows and automated testing/release best practices.
- Datastores: Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle) and NoSQL stores (e.g. DynamoDB ScyllaDB)
