Pay : HK$96142 to HK$114905 (HMPS Point 9 to 14) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Cluster General Manager (Administrative Services) the incumbent of the post will be required to:
and maintain a high standard of food services within agreed budgetary limits and resources whilst ensuring the maximum contribution to patient care.
the operation of hospital catering service including food production food delivery kitchen staff supervision and contingency planning to ensure smooth and efficient service.
3. Ensure the provision of safe and quality meals and nourishments for patients in compliance with international standards such as HACCP/ISO22000 OHSAS 18001 ISO 9001 and ISO 14000.
and participate in service planning to support future development in line with Hospital Authority (HA) directives for patient food service
5. Liaise with the Business Support Services Department HA Head Office and other hospitals to coordinate and enhance catering services.
with the Dietetics Department Speech Therapy Department and Milk Kitchen to ensure hospital food and nutritional products meet patients specific needs.
7. Monitor contractors performance in delivering hospital canteen services ensuring compliance with agreed standards.
any other projects / duties as assigned by supervisors.
Entry Requirements
Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management Studies or equivalent with at least 5 years post-qualification working experience in catering services.
Preferred Attributes / Exposure
degree in dietetics / food science / food service management preferred.
2. Demonstrated ability to carry out strategic planning and conduct project performance evaluation.
on facility and equipment planning in mass production kitchen.
in Low Carbon menu and carbon footprint calculation preferred.
5. Solid work background in cook chill food production rethermalized meal system and computerized food management system.
or work experience in HACCP/ISO22000 OHSAS 18001 ISO 9001 and ISO 14000.
to organize work and supervise and motivate staff in a busy working environment.
adaptive and innovative with excellent communication and management skills.
9. Highly motivated with a high degree of technical competence in both food production and nutrition preferred.
10. A team player and able to work in collaboration with others to deliver results.
