Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry (Tele CWR)
Location: Brick NJ 08724
Hours: 36 hours/week
Schedule: 5 days/week 8-hour shifts (Every Other Weekend Required)
Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday or winter eve
On-Call: None
Float: May float to similar inpatient telemetry units
Scrubs: Navy Blue
Job Summary
The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care by assessing patient needs supporting physicians and implementing individualized nursing interventions. This role focuses on continuous evaluation clinical judgment and evidence-based practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a telemetry setting.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care needs
Plan implement and document nursing care based on patient assessment
Identify and prioritize patient care needs through assessment intervention and evaluation
Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions within professional scope
Manage care for assigned patients and respond to changes in condition
Document all care based on standards acuity and clinical priorities
Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and support improved care delivery models
Provide patient-centered care aligned with the organizations nursing practice model
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years recent Telemetry experience
Competent in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
Education Requirements
Required:
ASN
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred:
BSN
Telemetry Certification or successful completion of Telemetry Competency Exam
Certifications & Licensure
Active NJ RN license or multistate compact license
BLS AHA
ACLS AHA
NIHSS
Telemetry Certification
CEU: 4-hour Stroke Contact Hours
