Job Summary

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide compassionate structured and compliant care within a juvenile correctional environment. This role supports youth residents through medication administration health assessments nursing interventions and care planning in alignment with regulatory standards.
Facility Setting
This assignment is located in a secure juvenile facility situated within a state forest area east of Ithaca NY. The center serves male youth offenders and maintains accreditation by national correctional authorities. The population typically includes approximately 18 youth with some remaining in custody up to age 21 depending on sentencing.
Key Responsibilities
Administer medications including controlled substances in compliance with nursing and facility protocols.
Maintain medical inventory and ensure accuracy of all medication-related documentation.
Conduct routine and focused health assessments of youth residents.
Develop review and evaluate nursing intervention plans aligned with individualized treatment goals.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure adherence to safety policies.
Prepare required clinical administrative and incident-related reports.
Participate in staff trainings and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Collaborate with the medical treatment team to support comprehensive care.

Qualifications
Active New York RN license (current and in good standing).
Minimum 1 year of post-licensure nursing experience.
