How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- As part of the AIT team support the assembly integration and test of satellite components subsystems and platforms
- Work closely with engineers to assemble prototype products based on schematic diagrams; accurately mark changes when instructions vary and report changes
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues that arise during assembly integration and testing phases
- Conduct incoming inspections and verification as required for various hardware components
- Maintain satellite cleanroom and environmental test facilities to aerospace standards
- Generate and optimise routing of harnesses throughout the spacecraft
- Support internal and external clients in integration and test campaigns
- Any other duties as required
Mandatory Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills Avionics
- Demonstrated experience in a high reliability and quality manufacturing operating environment ideally within the space/aerospace industry
- Understanding of principles associated with avionics and electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management interpersonal and organisational skills
- Have a passion for advancing the commercial space industry
- Natural tendency towards process adherence and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications Skills and Experience:- Knowledge of temperature and vibration measurement mechanical and electrical systems
- Design of simple mechanical elements such as mechanical ground support equipment
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to solve problems as an individual or as a member of an integrated team
- Ability to work in a high-paced challenging work environment
- NV1 Security Clearance eligibility.
