About This Role
As a Senior Java Engineer you will play a mission-critical role in shaping the technology that powers how thousands of businesses connect with their this role youll drive the evolution of our core messaging and reputation productsbuilding the high-performance systems and intelligent features that enable Kenect to scale and innovate.
Youll bring deep Java expertise together with emerging AI capabilities to help us create smarter faster and more intuitive customer-engagement experiences. From enhancing system performance to implementing AI-driven workflows your technical leadership will directly influence the future of our platform.
This position requires a passion for innovation a strategic approach to problem-solving and the ability to collaborate across teams to bring ambitious ideas to life. WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Design build and maintain highperformance Java microservices (Spring/Spring Boot).
- Ship AI-powered features: conversational flows agentic workflows and smart automations.
- Integrate LLMs (e.g. OpenAI Vertex AI) into our Java services and APIs.
- Use Python for AI/ML workflows prototypes and data/LLM utilities.
- Implement and support RAG pipelines and vector database integrations.
- Collaborate with Product/Design to turn customer problems into practical AI solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews testing and architecture discussions in an agile environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience with Java and frameworks like Spring Boot / Hibernate.
- Strong experience with REST APIs microservices SQL/NoSQL and cloud platforms.
- Experience with React on the front end (comfortable jumping in when needed).
- Hands-on experience building AI Agentic AI or conversational AI features in production.
- Python experience (for AI/ML scripting or LLM integrations).
- Solid understanding of software architecture testing and clean code practices.
- Strong communication and a collaborative ownership-focused mindset.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- LLMs & AI platforms: OpenAI Vertex AI
- Agentic / orchestration frameworks: LangChain LlamaIndex CrewAI ag2 MCP
- Techniques: prompt engineering model training or finetuning RAG embeddings
- Data layer: vector databases (Pinecone Chroma pgvector etc.)
