Job Summary
Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days 312-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
Block Scheduling: Not Available
Position Overview
A highly skilled PICU Registered Nurse is needed to provide compassionate high-acuity pediatric critical care in a fast-paced trauma-rated environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive PICU experience strong clinical judgment and the ability to care for complex and unstable pediatric patients.
Note: Seeking candidates with night-shift background experience.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within the last 2 years)
Must have worked in a Level I or II Trauma Center
Experience in an acute care facility of similar size and complexity
EPIC charting experience preferred
Schedule Requirements
Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 312-hour shifts
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Holidays: Required per department needs
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-acuity nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
Monitor hemodynamics ventilated patients and complex therapies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a trauma-level environment
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with families
Follow evidence-based practice guidelines and unit protocols

BLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
Additional pediatric critical care certifications a plus
