About the Role:

Due to exciting new business growth Comstar Systems have a position available for a Trainee Technical Rigger to work with our Launceston Team. This fantastic opportunity allows you to learn while you earn. You will be supported by a team of the best operators in the Telecommunications Industry as you embark on this amazing career journey.

As a Trainee Technical Rigger you will assist in the installation and commissioning of communications projects along with assist in rigging practices as applicable to communications construction.

Under supervision you will operate in a technical environment and assist in the installation testing and maintenance of telecommunication equipment mounted on high structures.

What we are looking for:

An understanding of the general concepts of mechanical / electrical engineering
The ability to obtain a certification in Telecommunications Technology Dogging and basic rigging certification
Competent in the safe use of hand tools
Intermediate computer skills
Ability to work in isolated and remote areas
Ability to work away from home
Ability to work overtime when required to meet client deadlines
Ability to work in diverse and technically challenging fields
A positive attitude eagerness to learn and willingness to adapt

To be successful you will need to be able to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen and be available to complete training and inductions as required and a National Police Check.
