Job Summary
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.
Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
To be successful in this role you should possess technical aptitude written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people in a wide variety of addition you must possess strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability. You will be able to leverage your experience exercising high levels of initiative judgment and diplomacy.
Logical access to the AWS GovCloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. Citizens. (GovCloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States)
Responsibilities
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Carry a pager/cell phone for communication information emergency and on-call situations
- Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required. Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested including internationally.
- Install test and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling including patch panels and patch cords.
- Linux/Unix Administration
Physical requirements Any physical requirements are expectations with reasonable accommodations.
- The ability to sit in front of computer for entire scheduled 8-hour shift with appropriate breaks while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41 pounds or more
- Walk job sites in uneven terrain
- Work at heights and from ladders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
