Linux Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Linux Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that cooperates with one of our Norwegian clients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Linux server operations and routine maintenance
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to Linux servers and associated services
• Provide technical support to customers addressing system-related issues
• Assist customers with performance analysis and optimization for Linux environments
• Plan and implement Linux server installations according to best practices
• Execute patching migrations and upgrades
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application operations networking virtualization and security to deliver integrated solutions

Tech stack on the project:

• Linux
• VMware
• Ansible
• Azure Linux VM

Qualifications :

Must have requirements:

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Expertise in managing and maintaining Linux server environments across hybrid infrastructures
• Experienced in planning and implementing Linux server installations following best practices as well as executing patching migrations and upgrades to maintain system integrity and security
• Adept at working in dynamic environments to ensure high availability and efficiency of mission-critical systems

• Microsoft AZ-104 Azure Administrator or similar within AWS GCP or OCI
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate / Similar for Ansible

Nice to have requirements:

• Ubiquiti UniFi Professional/Admin certification
• F5 Certified Administrator BIG-IP

Other requirements:

• English B2 level
• Structured in operations and documentation 
• Customer-oriented ensuring stable and responsive end-user experience 
• Team player effective in cross-technology collaboration
• Proactive in identifying performance improvements and capacity needs
