Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing various Concessions bars stands and portable food & beverage locations. The Concessions Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The Concessions Supervisor will assist the Concessions Managers and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training inventory and special events. The Concessions Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00 - $16.50

About the Venue

Santander Arena located in downtown Reading Pennsylvania is a versatile venue that serves as the home arena for the Reading Royals the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. The Santander Arena has hosted an array of live events including concerts Disney on Ice and other family friendly events attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up of all concessions locations prior to the start of event which includes verifying opening inventory assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer) ensuring sanitation standards are met checking food and beverage production meets projected event needs.
  • Requisitions and stocks all food and beverage products and supplies needed for assigned locations.
  • Train new & current employees on standard operation procedures in the concessions area.
  • Provide back-up to any open position to ensure the concession location is fully operational.
  • Ensure that company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.
  • Ensure the work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately address all safety concerns potential hazards accidents or incidents.
  • Relays safety/health issues to management immediately.
  • Provide on-going constructive feedback to concessions staff and volunteers.
  • Adhere to state federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained escalating to management or security when needed.
  • Responsible for assisting guests with their concessions via our Point of Sales system.
  • Lock up and store all beverage products food equipment items and perform all closing duties at the end of shift.
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures.
  • Assists Management team with projects including training inventory and special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented fast-paced event-driven environment.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain valid food and alcohol handling certificate.
  • Ability to accurately handle register and revenue collections through POS system is .
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends nights and holidays .
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time bend push reach and lift upwards of 50lbs of materials during stocking.
