We welcome volunteers from all walks of life aged 18 and above. You dont need formal qualificationsyour life experience understanding of your local community and willingness to learn are what matter most. If you care about young people and the issues they face today wed love to hear from you.

About Directorate

Barnet Youth Justice Service (YJS) works with children and young people aged 10-18 years and their families to:

Reduce the likelihood of young people re-offending
Protect children and young people
Protect members of the public
Ensure that sentences are served

The YJS is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and volunteers that work together using their varied knowledge and skills to improveoutcomes for children and young people.

** An enhanced DBS will be required as part of the onboarding process if successful.

Training will likely last for 10 weeks one evening a week and will run approx. Jan/Feb 2026.
