Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant MS SQL DBA
MS SQL Database Administrator experience is must. Must be fluent in all database maintenance activities independently.
Responsibilities
Installation/Upgradation/Migration of Servers.
Experience on Migrating SQL Server Clusters to Azure Cloud
Configure SQL Jobs SSIS SSAS SSRS Linked servers credentials etc.
Involve in Service Management Process
Apply any patches or service packs for Server.
Configure High Availability/Disaster recovery solutions.
Work on incidents change tickets and problem tickets.
Setup Maintenance plans for Backups Database integrity check rebuild index and Update statistics and make sure to run all the jobs without any issues.
Execute all changes of DB schema and maintain controlled development database environment.
Work closely with application developers to test configure and optimize servers based on application demands
Handle database object deployment to Integration QA UAT and Production
Provide day to day support of high OLTP HA of Server databases- Identify root causes of production problems and work with developers to resolve such problems.
Work on performance tuning like creating missing indexes.
Responsible for physical database architecture and design capacity planning development performance tuning implementation and support of the applications from a database perspective.
Conduct T- Code Reviews to ensure coding standards best practices and avoid potential performance issues.
Attend CAB (Change Advisory Board) meeting and get proper approvals from product owners to implement DB changes.
Document operational or newly engineered solutions properly to educate and inform the clients and DBAs from the various levels of the organization.
Work on Writing custom stored procedures T- queries PowerShell scripts views and triggers based on requirements for DB maintenance and automate tasks.
Work on writing technical and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) documentation.
Work on performance tuning like provide suggestions to create indexes and tune stored procedures.
Troubleshoot recurring problems and fix them permanently.
Setup High-Availability as part Disaster Recovery Strategy for the Databases. (Failover Clustering Database Mirroring Log Shipping and Replication)
Troubleshoot various problems that arise in a day-to-day work and fix the issues.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning; Physical Server Level Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning. (Creating and maintaining those Indexes not performing database shrinking memory settings monitoring CPU usage and Disk I/O activity etc)
Knowledge on Third-Party Tools like Safe and DM
Knowledge of Service-Now Tool for Change and Release Management Process
Good Understanding & Knowledge on Azure Cloud computing architecture technical design and implementations

Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Expert in MS SQL database administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong Analytical skill.
Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries.
Automation of repetitive tasks.
SQL performance tuning.
SQL design skills.
Strong knowledge of Azure cloud.
