Build and maintain a competitive and successful mens football program;
Identify and successfully recruit and retain academically qualified and athletically talented student-athletes;
Provide solid teaching mentoring motivation and coaching;
Develop well-rounded student-athletes ensuring academic progress and graduation;
Plan and direct effective practice sessions evaluations of opponents line ups and demonstrate good decision making during competitive coaching situations;
Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the health and well-being development and academic success of the student-athletes;
Effectively manage the programs budget and assemble and lead a highly qualified and effective staff;
Coordinate support services and appropriate public relations and promotional activities as necessary for program success;
Establish and maintain effective interactions with the university community and administrators alumni donors media and the public; and other administrative duties.
This position requires excellent work ethic along with high integrity exceptional motivational coaching/teaching leadership communication and recruiting skills. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Requires the ability to travel extensively including overnight stays for recruiting and competitions and possible international travel.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
Experience coaching football at a highly competitive collegiate or elite/professional level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful experience head coaching football at the DI level.
NCAADivision I or professional football experience as an athlete.
Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop highly skilled student-athletes and strong recruiting connections.
