SUMMARY:

The CSC Associate Director of Education and Career Services is an integral part of the CSC education and career service teams specifically focused on student and graduate success. They will coordinate clinical experiences for students in our Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) and Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) programs. The Associate Director of Education and Career Services will assist campuses with meeting licensure and placement outcome standards for licensing programs. Additionally they will work with the CSC education team on program curriculum training and commencement exercises.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the clinical experience for students in Sterile Processing Technician and Medical
  • Laboratory Assistant programs.
  • Assist SPT and MLA capstone instructors with tracking student attendance progress throughout the clinical.
  • Ensure each SPT and MLA student has complete and accurate required clinical documents on file before starting their clinical experience by collaborating with the campus Academic Dean and Career Service teams.
  • Contact employers to develop a working relationship and to identify clinical opportunities for SPT students.
  • Assist Career Services to develop working relationships and identify clinical opportunities for MLA students.
  • Facilitate commencement exercises for all Dorsey College campuses.
  • Organize and facilitate annual Occupational Advisory Committee meetings for all programs at alt campuses including upload of all required accreditation documentation
  • Assist campuses with licensing and placement outcomes to meet accreditation standards for licensing
  • programs as directed by the CSC Senior Director of Career Services.
  • Assist campuses with externship and career service activities including training as needed as directed by the CSC Senior Director of Career.
  • As part of the CSC education team:
  • Assist with faculty in-services.
  • Assist with curriculum development and maintenance.
  • Assist with CSC sponsored educational leadership and faculty meetings and calls.
  • Assist with evaluating educational and career services functions as a member of the internal audit team.
  • Other education related duties as needed.
  • Travel to Dorsey College campuses as requested.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:

  • Must display exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as active listening; ability to communicate well with staff students and employers.
  • Reliable well organized multi-tasking individual with good communication skills and the ability to work independently and cooperatively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to interact effectively and professionally with colleagues administrators and faculty.
  • Must be reliable with strong time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must be well organized with ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Must be resourceful and able to problem solve.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Career school teaching experience preferred.
  • Must have proven track record of effective leadership experience in career services or a related area.

WORKING / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May be required to work late and occasional weekends to support business needs.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; and have sufficient hand arm and finger dexterity to operate a phone computer keyboard and other office equipment.
