JOB SUMMARY
A data scientist is a statistical analyst who have working experience in the field of data science. Work with other data scientists ML Ops team R&D team Business users team in collecting analyzing interpret data sets and build AI/ML models to drive optimization and improvement of product development. As part of the companys AI/ML team member data scientist is required to provide help in developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Data scientist must also coordinate with different functional teams to implement AI/ML and monitor outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies and analyzes patterns in the volume of data supporting the initiative the type of data (e.g. structured/unstructured data) and the speed or sudden variations in data collection
- Educates the organization both from IT and the business perspectives on new approaches such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of results
- Works with IT teams to support data collection integration model training deployment monitoring and retention requirements based on the input collected with the business
- Works with related team to design or build dashboards using tools like power BI Grafana etc.
- Conducts basic data analysis
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Python/R Cloud techniques development experience is plus
- Strong statistics knowledge
- Familiar with regression models (i.e. xgboosting lightGBM etc.) classification models (i.e. logistic regression SVM etc.) cluster models are preferred
- Familiar with Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Generative AI models is plus
- Good data sensitivity skill set is plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams and under pressure. Multi-lingual capability is a plus
- Highly motivated and creative thinking out of the box
- Strong team mentality interpersonal and communications skills
- Enthusiasm and ability to seek out and learn new technologies and algorithms outside of your immediate toolset/knowledge to solve business problems where required
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
- People who are taking his/her Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science Machine Learning Mathematics or Statistics
- 3 years or above experience of data mining/machine learning experience is preferred
