The Role

The Accounting Project Management will contribute to the financial integrity of the organization by applying a strong combination of accounting and audit experience particularly from a Big4 environment. This role is ideal for someone who naturally bridges accounting and audit functions brings a structured project management approach and is comfortable managing complex financial tasks with a high level of accuracy. The Accounting Project Management will support financial reporting oversee key accounting processes assist in strengthening internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Tasks

• Lead general ledger activities and ensure accurate compliant financial records.
• Manage complex reconciliations and support efficient month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements ensuring alignment with GAAP/IFRS.
• Provide insights in budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead the development and enhancement of accounting policies procedures and internal controls.
• Act as a key liaison between accounting and audit teams ensuring alignment and readiness for both internal and external audits.
• Offer financial analysis and recommendations to management.
• Contribute to cross-functional financial projects using structured project management skills.
• Promote best practices in accounting and controls.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure financial accuracy across processes.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field Masters preferred.
• 58 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or audit with Big4 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated experience working between accounting and audit functions.
• Solid project management skills with a structured proactive approach.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to explain complex financial topics to non-financial stakeholders.
• Adaptability to changing business and regulatory environments.
• Strong team collaboration skills and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English are essential.
