- Serve as the clinical pharmacy leader at the oncology infusion center/specialty pharmacy collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize drug management develop guidelines and support clinical research and policy development.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary committees providing evidence-based expertise and helping to establish standardized treatment protocols quality assurance initiatives and educational programs for staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Louisiana Board of Pharmacy FDA USP etc.) manage utilization reviews and audits collect relevant metrics and maintain positive professional relationships with team members.
- Conduct clinical medication reviews provide patient and staff education monitor labs for organ function changes recommend dose adjustments and oversee both infusion and retail pharmacy operations including inventory management.
- Lead and supervise compounding of sterile preparations (hazardous and non-hazardous) ensuring aseptic technique compliance workflow efficiency and safety; train and educate staff in sterile compounding practices and order verification.
- May be required to assist at multiple sites as needed.
- Utilize technology proficiently and demonstrate adaptability to changing priorities.
- Maintain a positive work environment and provide constructive feedback for organizational improvement.
