Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Developer with strong data engineering and organizational capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop Tableau Pulse and Tableau Prep (Flow) along with a deep understanding of data modeling and reporting best practices. This role requires a proactive mindset to ensure reporting environments remain clean purposeful and scalable. Prior experience in the Fintech or payments industry is highly preferred. This is a full-time on-site role-only local candidates who can commute will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain high-performance Tableau dashboards and visualizations
- Build real-time automated data alerts and notifications using Tableau Pulse
- Use Tableau Prep (Flow) to clean shape and prepare data for reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards
- Establish and enforce reporting standards and governance to minimize redundancy and ensure purposeful dashboard creation
- Design and maintain ETL workflows to ingest and transform data into Snowflake for reporting needs
- Develop a deep understanding of the enterprise data model to ensure accurate reporting and prevent data duplication or misuse
- Document data sources transformations and dashboard logic to support transparency and maintainability
- Monitor Tableau Server performance and manage permissions and content deployment
- Ensure proper access controls and data security practices are followed in reporting environments
- Support the organizations goal of building a single source of truth data lake by aligning reporting and data ingestion practices with enterprise data architecture
Required Qualifications
- Min 5 7 years of professional experience in Tableau development
- 5-7 years of professional experience in SSRS Reporting development.
- Proficient in Tableau Desktop Advanced dashboard building and visual storytelling
- Proficient in Tableau Pulse Alerting monitoring and proactive insight delivery
- Proficient in Tableau Prep (Flow) Data cleaning merging and flow orchestration
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline development
- Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach to managing reporting assets and stakeholder requests
- Solid understanding of data quality governance and reporting accuracy
- Experience in or familiarity with the Fintech or payments industry
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be based locally and willing to commute to the office
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in metrics relevant to payments fraud operations or finance reporting
- Experience with data cataloging or metadata management tools
- Exposure to agile development and data product lifecycle management
