The OpportunityWe are looking for an Auxiliary Social Worker to join our dynamic team at the Kay Mason Foundation. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about youth development transforming lives and thrives in a creative dynamic collaborative and fast paced environment. You will be hands on working with our scholars alumni and parents as part of the social development team to ensure that our scholars and alumni achieve their full potential. You will also work with external role players and members from other departments within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the social development personnel.
- Assist with planning and implementation of programs events outings camps and activities.
- Liaise and communicate with external resources scholars parents and alumni as required.
- Plan and implement interventions for scholars and alumni.
- Assist with the planning management and financial management for all social development programs.
- Accompany scholars and alumni to events outings activities and appointments.
- Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of scholar functioning and progress as well as program effectiveness.
- Manage scholar alumni and program administration.
What Were Looking For- Relevant qualification as an auxiliary social worker or related field.
- 3 years experience as an auxiliary social worker.
- A background in youth development and education would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- develop implement and coordinate programs
- interact connect and communicate very effectively with a wide range of individuals
- manage administrative responsibilities
- facilitate workshops or events
- Excellent communication and interaction skills are essential.
- Excellent planning and project management skills are essential.
- Excellent administrative skills which includes computer skills (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) are essential.
- Ability to implement multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines. Organised and able to think ahead.
- Ability to work independently as well as a positive member of the team.
- Passionate about youth development in South Africa social impact and building meaningful connections.
- Passionate about supporting a social work team.
- Focussed on excellence and quality in everything you do.
- Ability to positively deal with change and / or crisis situations.
