Title: Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Compensation: $140-150K
Location: San Diego CA
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner California to join their team. The HR Business Partner will support and manage a wide range of human resources functions under the direction of the VP of HR serving as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted resource for employees. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have working knowledge of payroll processes in ADP.
- Partner with leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with California labor laws and regulations.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and selection including interviewing and providing hiring recommendations.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance management employee relations and corrective actions.
- Administer employee benefit programs including health insurance retirement plans and leave policies.
- Conduct training programs to enhance employee knowledge and HR compliance awareness.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Handle employee grievances and mediate conflicts to promote a positive work environment.
- Stay informed on HR trends best practices and legal updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent HR experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience preferably in a business partner or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of California HR laws regulations and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
